Description
It's a Russian-style song, arranged for choir white (female) a capella
with soloist - tenor. Music by Yury Pronin, the lyrics are by Sergei Yesenin - great lyric poet
Russian in the first half of the twentieth century.
There are translations of his poems, but translating a poem into another language, it is almost
impossible, so it have to sing this song as with Russian words. Berioza - is a tree, in English - "Birch" .
In Russia it is treated as a national symbol. The typical Russian landscape is a field of rye
yellow and "beriozas" around as a mandatory attribute.
The content is as follows (translation from Russian to English):
The white berioza
Close to my window ...
It was covered with snow
As a layer of silver
In the spongy branches
As a canvas board
Clusters are grown
As a white stripe
And so, there remains the berioza
In the silence of sleep
Shining flakes
As a golden fire.
And the dawn lethargic
Walking for about
Sprinkle the branches
With more silver.
